We love celebrating our elders any way we can, and holidays like Veteran’s Day are especially important to us. This is a day set aside each year to honor, remember and celebrate those who have bravely served and sacrificed for our freedom.
At Ozark Health and Rehabilitation, our home is a place that promotes quality care and fosters a community that values the history and diverse experiences of each of our elders. Among are elders are some heroes; men and women who selflessly served our nation in the U.S. Armed Forces. Though seasons have passed since their active duty, the impact of their service will never fade and that is something to honor and remember. Each day our staff works diligently to provide compassionate care to veterans in our home and works tirelessly to ensure that they have everything they need.
For aging and elderly veterans, the holiday is an important time for them to reflect on their past experiences and to receive well-deserved recognition for their active service. Our staff did just that and held a special gathering for all our elders to honor the veterans who call Ozark home.
Our team made the day special with red, white, and blue decorations in the dining hall, a special cake for everyone to enjoy, and patriotic gifts for each elder to honor their service. These elders sacrificed so much for our freedom, and we are grateful to be able to serve them in this season of life.
To our veterans at Ozark Nursing Home, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your service. Your courage, sacrifice, and dedication to our country has made a great impact in our community, and we are honored to have you as part of our extended family. It’s our privilege to serve veterans in this season of life and to provide them with the support and care they need.
